Cut. Slit. Sew.

June 30, 2009

Appointment at SGH went pretty smoothly today though I spent about 3 hours there! I mean, that’s beside the fact that I found out the exact problem(s) with the extremely hardy back of mine.

Crack in the bone.
1 slipped disc and 1 partially slipped disc.
1 worn out disc.

But whatever it is, the surgery for my slipped disc (the one that’s slipped until super jialat) is set for 14 July I can’t wait! Nervous, yes. Scared, yes. Excited, definitely! Can’t wait to get (almost) full mobility back again although it’ll definitely take time.

YAY.

SGH. YAY.

June 28, 2009

And I’m finally going for my appointment at SGH tomorrow although it’s a different doctor from the one my family doc referred me to initially but who cares! The first doc was sucha bitch keep going on leave so unprofessional! Whatever it is, I can’t wait for the appointment tomorrow I hope the doc cuts me open quick and repairs my back.

Maybe I should go down to the British Council tomorrow after the appointment to register for the IELTS-whatever English test and start collating my stuff for uni application. Am feeling pretty much proactive today after an awesome night working at Tabs yesterday it’s like a breath of fresh air after rotting and stoning my days away at Suntec’s thermal scanning!

Bangkok Update – FINALLY

June 26, 2009

Okay I’m sooooo sorry for procrastinating on blogging about BKK till now, but AIYAH. While it’s partly because I’m lazy and have no inspiration, the other part of the reason (excuse) is that I’ve been busy with work! The day after coming back I went for training till 10 plus at night and was so exhausted I just conked out. Then after that was thermal scanning duty with Justine at Suntec till yesterday! So you see… I have my reasons for leaving the blog relatively untouched!

Enough digressing. Well, as I suppose you guys should know, I was in BKK from 13 – 17 June. Can’t wait to go back there and shop more! The other 3 partners in crime were Joel, Sijie (Joel’s gf) and Dean.

Broken Strings

Attended Bianca’s memorial thing at Blackberry Bar just now and I think it’s finally sinking in that she’s well and truly gone. Thought about the various occasions with her and the one time at Zouk when I was crying and crying on the verge of hyperventilating and she hugged me and told me she’d fight either of the two people for me. You’re one of the awesomest people I’ve every known.

18 – full of life, dreams, hopes for the future. 18 – full of excitement at what the world had to offer. 18 – and you brightened up the worlds of people who were lucky enough to get to know you.

You, we haven’t forgotten and never will.

Hey Bianca,

The news came as a shock – I really thought you’d get well back in USA. But whatever it is, you must be in a better place already. A bright, warm place with no more pain.

It’s sad, but this is but a passing emotion. While I do regret not getting to know you better, I’ll always remember you as the first girl who turned my head (and Ruby’s) when we walked past you at Wheelock. The girl with the coolest tattoos. The girl whose eyes light up when she talks about netball. I’m sure that in the 17 years you were around you lived – and lived to the fullest. Sucks that the God you believed in decided to take you away so soon (fucking selfish, really), but hey, you’re prolly so awesome He wanted you to Himself so He could be just like you!

Please take care, wherever you are, and rest in peace.

We’ll miss you.

Lots and lots of love,
Alexis

BAAACCCKKKK!

June 18, 2009

I’m back! I’m back! BET YOU MISSED ME. :P

After 3-4 days of non-stop shopping, I realised what a test of endurance and stamina shopping is, and am tired as hell! But nevertheless, it was super fun and a trip of many firsts! Went to watch fights for the first time at Lumpinee Stadium, bought my first pair of No Fear Muay Thai shorts (WOOHOOOO! IT’S DAMN CHIOOOOOO. REALLY.), went to watch my first (and most probably last) Thai girl show, stayed at my first budget hotel, visited Chatuchak and Platinum Mall for the first time… and blah blah blah.

Shall update more by this weekend, I promise! :D As for now, it’s time to rest before camp tomorrow (or more specifically, later)!

EDIT:

Okay I’m sorry I haven’t updated regarding the BKK trip have been busy as hell with work at Taboo and Suntec (which I’m working part-time for now)! I’ll do it soon okay? WAIT FOR IT! :D

Bind me, fold me, lick me…

June 10, 2009

I just went to see the doctor cuz I finished a course of (self-prescribed) antibiotics and my sore throat wasn’t getting any better. Turned out it’s cuz I have a frigging ULCER at my throat. WHO THE FUCK GETS ULCERS AT THEIR THROAT PLEASE TELL ME. Anyway, the antibiotics he prescribed to me were… GIGANTIC. My mum and I literally “WOAH”ed when we saw the package!

The gigantor antibiotics as compared to my other (normal size) pills. Whatever it is, I hope the damned ulcer will be gone by Saturday!

I was supposed to go for Yoga today but ONCE AGAIN, I cancelled it! Should really stop being so lazy and get my ass there so that I’ll not waste my $250 (more, actually, since I haven’t been to Yoga for the past 1.5 months) worth of membership. BAH. Can’t help it though YOGA’S REALLY NOT MY THING. >=[ It’s tiring (made worse by my current inability to stretch and be flexible), yes. But… SO GENTLE.

Oh wells, am gonna go nap before meeting Ah Ma for Night At The Museum later! I wonder if she wants to (learn) L4D after that…
